Be a Spring Goddess!

Spring has sprung... although, it doesn't quite feel like it yet.
Last weekend everyone got their hopes up for Mother Nature to gift us with an end to winter.
As the Equinox approached, I felt positivity and excitement in the air.
Then the Equinox happened.
Then we got snow.

The thing is though, the Spring Equinox isn't just about the arrival of Spring weather.
It's symbolic of so much more.

The Spring Equinox is the time in the earth's annual cycle around the sun in which day and night are equal in length.
It marks the beginning of longer days, more light, and warmer temperatures.
We flow from dreaming, visioning, and planting seeds to sprouting, creating, and rebirth.
Our internal clocks shift to support our retreat from hibernation and in to more outward expression and life springs forth from death.
Spring is our time to take up new and BE-YOU-tiful actions that support our inherent purpose and that make us feel as though we are living like we mean it ~ with purpose, on purpose.
(More on how to discover your inherent purpose here)
It is a time that is fertile and full, bursting with new found energy and enthusiasm.
Spring marks a time of New Beginnings, a time when we move from the darkness into the light.
Easter, Passover, Songkran, and Beltane (May Day) are all happening during these next few months showing us that spiritual traditions around the world celebrate this transition in to the Light, fertility, and new beginnings in some way.
Now is your time!
Spring is a time in our monthly cycle that comes right after menstruation, or the Moon cycle.
Each month we have a gentle opportunity to give birth to a new expression of ourselves, which is supported by the withdrawing we honor during our Moon cycle or during winter months.
This season and time in our monthly cycle is the Virgin phase, where we bring all the insights and ideas gained from the dark months and begin to give them expression.
Saraswati is the Goddess of creativity, fluidity, and nature.
She is our muse this month and worshiped on the fifth day of the spring according to Hindu calendar, called the Basant Panchami.
We invoke her to invite in the melting of the 'snow', our coldness or harsh qualities, in order to make room for inspiration, joy, and creative energies and to witness our lives blossom this season.
After you practice take some time to journal on these questions to help you move through these next couple of months, embody the different qualities of the season, and move freely into the coming months.
Questions:
~ What am I calling in to my life for this season?
~ How will I detoxify my physical space (home/office/etc) in order to make room for what I am calling in?
~ How will I commit to communing with Nature at least once each month this season?
~ When I was a little girl, what were the main ways I loved to be creative?
~ How will I be creative this month/season? What will I create?
Embrace all the qualities of Spring but also what this cycle represents and has to offer.
This will invite you to embrace the lingering cooler temperatures, and know that your new beginnings are just around the corner!
The seeds are being planted....
