Please, Please, Please Don't Do It!
"A miracle acts as a catalyst, shaking up erroneous perceptions and reorganizing it properly." ~ ACIM |
Dearest One's. 'Tis the season to over extend ourselves. Where we tend to say Yes to every invitation, request, and offer. You might already be feeling it by now... If not, maybe reflect on if you have felt: ~ resentful ~ overtired ~ anxious ~ stressed ~ exhausted ~ easily irritated ~ overwhelmed ~ unable to enjoy the present moment So my final love letter to you before the Holy Days is a plea to take a moment now and create a Don't Do List! Yup. You read that right. After you are done reading this, grab your journal and pen and write down your Don't Do List. This was a beautiful idea that I took on after Janet Stone shared it and it has helped immensely. As we enter in to the inward pull of the winter season, we want to create space for reflection, visioning, and creating by letting go of the extraneous. The Too Much. The Busy-ness. The Should's. Instead we focus on how we want to feel, nurture our inner wisdom, and breathe in to our dreams by stripping away the non-essentials. Clarity comes when we surrender, let go, and Allow. Create your Don't Do List. Keep it close. Remind yourself Daily. Give yourself permission to say No. To Let Go. To live in harmony with the season + your Self. This is radical self-care and that which makes us happier, healthier, and more at peace. Here are a couple of examples from my Don't Do List. ~ Don't teach more than 2 classes a day ~ Don't go to more than one holiday gathering per week ~ Don't make excuses not to meditate ~ Don't go on the computer after 6pm Of course the biggest piece, most important, and will only revel the benefits is ~ follow through! I hope this helps you to create a little more Love, peace, and freedom as we enter the Winter Solstice + journey our way through the winter. |
Many Blessings + Much Joy for the Holiday Season!
