Ready to Be A Sensual Goddess?
About two week ago I had the pleasure and privilege of leading 28 women through the practise I have included for you in this blog.
We were at our annual Yogini Yoga: Heal & Transform ME~Treat and for the first time I got to lead this embodiment practise that focuses on everything I talked about in my June newsletter ~ Discovering the Power of our Sexuality.
(You can read about it here)
Always a transformational weekend, this was the missing piece from previous years.
This was the place I wanted to go before, but wasn't sure how.... until now.
Through taking the time to embody, study, and practise sexuality and sensuality, and understand thoroughly what it means for me, and really see how it has connected me to deep levels of my spirituality..... I was finally ready.
I have put together the Shakti Vinyasa class as a way for all women to be able to reconnect with their bodies, their sexuality, and their Sensual Goddess (or Inner Seductress).
Watching the women at the ME~Treat heal and transform their relationship to these avoided, hidden, often repressed aspects of themselves, was magical.
One woman at the end said "I feel like I have lost fifteen pounds. Not of weight but of pressure and stress. I feel more open and free."
These are the kinda experiences and feelings we can have when we begin to reclaim disowned, ignored, or shadow aspects of ourselves, along with so many others!
The 28 women in the JOY Circle are about to dive into those murky waters next month when we start studying the second chakra and as I keep telling them, and share with you now here, there is a bigger freedom when we connect to our bodies, senses, and sexuality ~ we are healing not only ourselves but our connection to the feminine Spirit.
What we do for ourselves causes a ripple, sometimes tidal waves, but in any case, it ultimately affects the whole. We are One.
And in a time of deep connection to the masculine (you know, the do more, be more, create more, achieve more, and keep going till you do even if you burn out or to the ground kinda attitude) this type of work is needed now more than ever.
When we reclaim our power through owning and embodying our sensuality and sexuality it allows us to go deeper in to our creative life force as women, also known as Shakti. Repressing it decreases this life force.
"Sexual union is an auspicious Yoga which, through involving enjoyment of all the sensual pleasures, gives release. It is a path to Liberation." ~ Kaularahasya
The union can be of man and woman, woman and woman, man and man, Shiva and Shakti, matter and spirit, masculine and feminine, light and darkness, self and other because it's not about who or what, but rather the spaces in between when we begin to escape dualistic or dogmatic thinking that we experience true freedom and liberation.
It's in the union, the partnership, the coupling, the merging, where we find peace, happiness, and true feminine INpowerment.
This Shakti Vinyasa is just a small taste of the whole.
Enough for you to get a sense if you are frozen, rigid, stuck or guarded, and how you might begin to release some of your inhibitions, deeply lubricate your inner body, and feel sensual and sexy in your physical hOMe.
Hoping your are pleased and pleasured by it,
